Bullet train

Bullet train

A Poem by mike

you are the pain in my head, the kind of pain that no

amount of aspirin could ever take care of

you are the train that I could never catch because im a minute too late

like I thought I read the times right but like the fading sun you still elude me

every sunset will seduce me and bring me down to my knees to the point where

I plead with you to never leave me and I prayed on it and still I can never catch you

like a bullet train you fade into the sunset crushing my wildest dreams and I find myself running

after you reaching for you and being a step too late but maybe that’s the way it has to be

for love isn't easy and the rose petals laid across my floor will tell you that

this pain in my head is never going away.
