faith

faith

A Poem by mike

opening my eyes after a long trip down the road of new beginnings

we came to the stop of old memories, the kind that make you run the

other way realizing that you'll never be able to escape it

Surrounded by my misfortunes I float at sea with no light house

to guide me away from the rocks that try and sink my ship

faith seems to be the one thing that eludes me when I need it the most

It breaks me down to the bone smashes into me like the crashing waves

of the rising sea every time I think that this may be it  life smashes into

me again breaking a rib exposing my beating heart  just to show me that no

matter how hard life hits I'm still alive.  funny thing about faith,

you never know when its going to open your eyes to new beginnings.
