never enough

never enough

A Poem by mike

I can't tell you what I don’t know, no matter how much you beg I'll

still be here grasping at the truth of my very existence, or maybe it's

more of the doubt of my very existence because a guy like me will never

be good enough in your eye's

I traded in my bat and glove for a pen and a pad during the days where

I needed you the most, that notebook was my therapy and these lines

are my beating heart bleeding on the page the words that you will never

understand, But maybe that’s the way you like it because getting to know

me means that you would have to acknowledge the fact that I'm different

I'm not the trophy that you can put on your mantle to boast to the masses

But rather the one to hide in the corner and bring out when Its convenient for you

It's never going to be enough for you so I'll sit here writing the words that you'll

never be able to understand, till that time comes when the words will become clear

but it will maybe be too late, I hope it was enough.
