![]() Loved NonethelessA Poem by Michael Sun Bear![]() Longing for a daughter![]() Loved Nonetheless Life denied me children Yet I love a daughter. Daily do I seek her, Do I see her, Her hair a thick river fall Like May melt from the mountains, Like ripe olives gathered In a skirt are The sweet color of her eyes. So easy does she give her laugh A sound like raven’s chuckle. Tall and lithe she stands, Newly now full woman. So often she hugs, Never fails to say I love you.
