A Snifter of Port

A Snifter of Port

A Poem by Michael Sun Bear
"

A meditation on loss

"

A SNIFTER OF PORT

Left sleepless adrift

Beneath moon and star

I sit in cataract haze

Mired in murky candlelight

A snifter of port is no port

For this shipwrecked heart

I let pen fall from fingers

Onto words unwritten
