A Snifter of Port

A Snifter of Port

A Poem by Michael Sun Bear
"

A meditation on loss

"

A SNIFTER OF PORT

Left sleepless adrift

Beneath moon and star

I sit in cataract haze

Mired in candlelit murk

A snifter of port is no port

For this shipwrecked heart

My pen falls from fingers

Onto words unwritten

I always enjoy reading your poetry, it just feels so.. authentic I guess. This feels like a very charged brevity,I really loved reading it

Thank you dear, the feeling is mutual
Your heart drifts away as you lay inebriated from port wine .....the moon of sadness is upon you...no words to speak or write...just wander on the waves of despondency...
I love your brevity piece it speaks of so much going on in your mind...very visual
