Shamans AllA Poem by Michael Sun BearA tribute to all poets who post on Writers Cafe.Shamans All Shamans gather here. I warn you of their power. With words they weave their spells. You may find yourself transfixed, Even find yourself transformed Into grieving widow, Perhaps a happy child, Raven who brought Sun to man, Hindu goddess Saraswati, A stone, a river, flower, tree, A sky of shooting stars, Even corpse in the street. Shamans gathered here And left talismans of power. What wish you my friend? To run again, laughing Through the fields of your youth? To bed a woman, bed a man Even know the feel of murder? To know again that special Christmas, Have grandma tell you one more story? Perhaps a glimpse behind the veil, Do you long to see the life to come, Know the sea of Love That gave you birth? Do you long to just forget? Name it my friend, for Shamans gather here, Shapeshifters with the power To grant your every wish.
