Goodbye Earth and love of mine

I’m taking a ship out of this galaxy

Maybe I’ll die in the galactic flow

Just another face in a missing crew

Maybe you’ll catch a signal that I send through outer space

Saying that I miss you and that I want to see your face

Or maybe when you’re old and you’ve found another guy

You’ll receive my coded message that’s been drifting through the sky

Telling you that I’ve found signs of life among the stars

Worlds beyond the nebulae, the asteroids, the quasars

But I will never find a love like you, my dear

Not in any planet’s atmosphere.

Beautiful. This is the first poem I would consider simply gorgeous to read, as well as possessing very rich language. The rhyme scheme works, and although I enjoy prose more I did enjoy this very much. This is a very influential love poem and the way you have laid it out, is very effective.
