Magenta Pt.2A Poem by MiguelI follow. My [Magenta] so peaceful in her rest I see why I always loved her best Her angel's flesh, carved off with my knife She wouldn't love me, so I took her life A life so fragile, perfect like a rose I made her weep, and now nobody knows I shut her eyelids with fingers like a demon's Your God destroyed my life because I was a heathen I carve the devil's face in skin so white and cold And hide it underneath the winter's snowy folds I watch her sleeping in the lakes of her own death I see her innocence in their bloody depths My redemption came with sacred cost I needed it; an angel's life had to be lost I found her memories buried in the cold Next to the angel, as your God above foretold I killed her; I killed her out of love Dried blood and purple bruises I killed her not to lose this majestic image My everything, a song to sing A heart to cling to, now I can rest too I slit my wrists and watch the blood flow Just lose my wits as it makes pink snow Around her head just like a halo An angel's face I see As into Death I go.
