Infatuation

Infatuation

A Poem by Matthew Clough

It’s been so long since I've fallen asleep

with the warm thought of someone

tucked safely under my pillow.

But tonight, as I hear the stars

just beyond the bright wide window

murmuring like angels, yes yes,

I pull you out from underneath

and place you closer to my cheek,

all sparks and shining moment.

this is written in such delicate and soft tones, that even the moon and the stars would hush to let you enjoy the moment.. :D
