Here's a little poem I wrote waaayyyyy back when I was a girl dreaming about a love that lasts.

They Say

 

They say love is a fraud.

That it’s a dream of the young.

And I can’t sing the song

I’ve already sung.

 

They say it won’t last

Whenever push comes to shove

We’ll forget our promises,

And abandon our love.

 

They say it’s not worth it.

Such things can't be true.

They say just give up.

I say I love you.
