Sempiternal

Sempiternal

A Poem by Michelle Chiafala
"

An endless cycle.

"
I find my way back into hell,

and I drag myself out of it;
every time this happens, I
return with another crack
in my foundation.

How much longer must I
feel this pain down to the
very marrow encased in
my pale bones?

How much longer until I
splinter into a thousand
jagged pieces, never to
be mended again?
