We were two people who didn't know how to control their tempers. We were two people who didn't know how to love.
We were two people who were too selfish to see other perspectives. We were never meant to merge as one.
We were two people who were angry with ourselves.
We didn't know ourselves therefore we couldn't know each other.
We were two people with deep insecurities.
Two souls desperate to be loved but designed to be free. We were two confused people.
We wanted to have it all.
We wanted happiness and independence but security and spontaneity all at the same time. We wanted to be understood but didn't want to do the understanding.
We wanted to love but not make any effort.
We wanted everything to come so easy as if our lives were just always so.
We were two people who were broken, hoping to become whole. We were two hearts from two different pasts.
We were two entities on two different paths.
And those paths would never cross.
We were two opposites.
We wanted harmony but we were always on the offense.
We were two headstrong people. Two strong minded people.
We always thought our own way was the best yet wanted to be equals.
We were two dumb, young, and naive people.
We were two flesh on two bodies. We were two sets of eyes seeing through two different sets of colored shades.
One rose colored and one black. We were two people who said we completed each other but never excelled at what the other lacked. We were never meant to be one. We were just two people who couldn't let go because they didn't know the meaning of love.
