A Moment Forgotten

A Moment Forgotten

A Poem by R.Ivan

Past midnight now,

Oh, how pensive the room seemed

Staring at itself in the rainy reflection of the

Eastern window.

Purpose left the TV on before drifting into a

Grey cloud of sleep.

The space longs for magenta again

Because it is so tiring to be awake.

The house creeks

Either as a reminder of its empathy

Or as reflex to battle the wind.

An hour later: a simple stir

Quivers and glows.

Then, nothing.

Where did the time go

When silent sobs

During late nights

Housed this chamber?

Countless sneaky intertwines,

Misinterpreted glances"

Touches,

Here in the hearth of the rebellion.

Lovers stealing time

Away

Stowing memories in the trunk

And each other’s fragile pieces

Liquidize into dazzled syrup.

This is history,

It lies in the actions of stories untold,

Guarded memories locked away.

Yes… quiet

Never to be the same.

But this silence,

This silence can be music"

Ancient phenomena of a

Journey through time,

Through a moment

Forgotten.
