prisoner on her

prisoner on her

A Poem by marybeth davis

She is locked away

but......

still has some freedom

the urge to leave and to fly

is a must

but sadly..

she is a prisoner in her own home

Nicely done, intriguing, a vivid image of a common reality.

And I am so glad you wrote it. It is stunning. In a few lines you have encapsulated isolation. Stunning work

this to me sounds like extreme anxiety that takes over a person's life locking them inside their own personal comfort zone.

I have often thought this own thing about my mother in her last decade of life. I found more and more out about how things were since she passed and I think you summed things up pretty well for her personal situation.

We all feel like prisoners at one time or another...
and sometimes can't escape it...
something prevents it...

Many people are prisoners. Hard to escape when the wall are impossible to climb and escape. The eyes can tell the real story of a woman locked away in fear and sadness. A powerful poem with a strong message. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
