Silence

Silence

A Poem by Meagan

Silence. It’s tricky. Have you ever sat with silence? Some find comfort, while some find terror. I find both. I’ve been through enough s**t to know who I’m dealing with in silence. Welcome it as a long lost friend and you can find a long lost friend. You. I’ve also been through enough s**t to terrorize me in silence. Be wary of the unwelcomed. The silence that comes at your lowest points; dragging all your doubts, anxieties, fears, mistakes with it. Like prisoners. What if we welcomed that too though? What if we stood up to the unwelcomed warden? It can’t get any worse. Right? For if we welcome the unwanted, they are no longer the unwanted. Concur in silence.
