Fear

Fear

A Poem by mbg

It may have seemed like everything was unexpected.

But I did know this would happen, for it was inspected.

What happened was a shock to everyone,

The surprise came but saw no one.

It came in the night,

Meaning to give everyone a fright.

What came was something you can’t see or hear,

For its existence lives on fear.

And fear grows day by day,

And sometimes it never goes away.

Fear grows and grows until it consumes you.

You try to find something you can do,

But after a while your existence is gone,

Because what is done is done.

The only way for you to have avoided this

Was for you to have seen this coming,

And to be in complete bliss.
