Golden Dream In Winter

Golden Dream In Winter

A Poem by Mark Best

You’re there

And time stands infinite

Together we are

A hope omnipotent

In grandeur the thin line I walk

But a street of gold it appears to only our eyes

Infinite is the possibility of chance and hope

Definite is the hurt in hearts choice

Winter is not of thin line

But lake over which thin line stretches

Eternal stretch of thy greatest hope

Gaily I walk thin to thee

Golden highway to dream of sunder

Future may bring sweet reality

Bitter is the light to wakeful eyes

And winter is poor misery
