To Make You Cry

To Make You Cry

A Poem by MiR

To make you cry, by will I can
Crumbling tensions of the years
Watch as passion flows beyond
The dripped shape of your tears

Holding in my palms are yours
As I too feel the pain
Created to destroy unless
Release you won’t restrain

There is beauty in this moment
Though none of which is mine
Are tears themselves not beautiful?
Unlike beauty gone with time

Tears are simply beautiful
The sum of which is great
Emotions made to freely shed
The stress of human fate

Resisting bears no freedom
Pain held can hurt one’s soul
To make one cry is no great feat
But tears can make one whole
