An inspirational slam poem

Hero

Nothing compares to the innocence of a child.

They don’t have a care in the world,

Everybody is happy.

Through their eyes at least.

But then that child will get older,

And they will realize the ways of the world

And they will not like it,

But they will accept it like we all have done before them, and like many will do after.

Now, only some people are happy,

And there are more things to be concerned about,

Many many more things.

Their confidence fades, so does their imagination,

And soon, their innocence

As they grow numb to the death and dying,

Numb to the hatred and evilness,

Numb to the world.

But I’m here to tell you,

It is not too late.

Keep on dreaming, child, you , my dear can make a difference in this world

Don’t give up

Always try

Keep your innocence

Never grow up

Save the world

Because the real hero aren't in comics, books or movies.

They are the people all around us.

Right here, right now.

You can be a hero

You can save the world.
