To You

To You

A Poem by Mazie Tackett

To you, the sky is falling.

To you, it's forever night.

To you, there is no savior.

To you, there is no light.

To you, my help is useless.

To you, the world is grey.

To you, no bodies listening.

To you, there is no play.

To you, things are dying.

To you, we've reached our dawn.

To you, the world is ending.

To you, we'll soon all be gone.

Your joy has long been dead.

Killed by a life of dismay.

But I would bear a million more.

Just to smile one more day.

I like it.

A point might be to write a form of 'conclusion' onto the end. Something that doesn't begin with 'To you'. It would have a lot of impact on the reader.

But still, a good poem. ^_^

This is kind of scary. xD But it is great! Maybe a little to many, "To you" 's in there, but I can deal!
