When she leaves

When she leaves

A Poem by Mayukh Das
"

Durga puja is one of the most important festivals among the bengalis. Ma Durga stays with us for 5 days. But on Dashami she leaves and the pain we feel is hard to describe.

"
She came, she stayed,
For five days
We played;
We danced and we sang
We stood dismayed
When she left.

What joy she brings
Felt
I had wings,
Of worries and sorrows
No, nobody thinks
And she left.

She'll come back again
Yet,
So much pain
She's gone, I come back
This dark shabby lane
Oh! she left.

I don't know what hymns to say
I don't know how to pray
With tears held back at the corner of my eye,
With a heart full of pain and a deep long sigh,
I bid you goodbye;
Even if its a dozen months or more,
I'll be waiting for sure.

he didn't want to float high; neither did he want to hit the bottom,... all he wanted was to sit beside that old tree under that azul sky and dream about things that nobody cares about. more..
