The Untold

The Untold

A Poem by may

The Untold

My heart fell to its knees,
in front of the compatriot,
the mind's irrefutable
discernment

For the first time, since
eternity, my cognizance
won the battle of words,
douching passion’s flame
with its reasons

Some things are better,
when left unsaid,none
afflicted,except the one,
who knows it

Said or Unsaid, doesn’t matter,
remorse is all that is left,
Contrite, pondering over,
whether or not ,
what done was right.

The third stanza is my favorite.
Your choice of words is great.
It is an interesting piece. Intriguing almost.
Very nicely done.
