Black Butterflies

Black Butterflies

A Poem by Macie Bradley

Black butterflies.
Released by the Grim Reaper.
So cold and dark.
Collecting the remains of my soul.
Stabbing needles in my non-beating heart.
Flying after the storm has drowned my energy, and risen my pain.
Black butterflies, arrive as burning tears stream out my eyes and down my face.Black butterflies embrace me like love at first sight.
