BraveA Poem by once upon a time
I am no daredevil nor Hercules.
I am not strong, I have my fears. Like how I'm scared of being stung by bees. I'm afraid of swords and spears. But I'm not afraid of tears. I am brave. No I do not wish I was less afraid. That is to wish not to be alive, And I do not wish to be deceased or decayed, For that is just another fear derived, In this simple headed mind of mine. I do not need to be unafraid. I am still brave Though I fear what I cannot see, Especially when it is behind me. I am no longer afraid of the dark, Though I do still fear sharks. I do not know what will be, And yet I feel free as can be. I am no longer afraid, I am brave. © 2013 once upon a time |
