Neon Youth

Neon Youth

A Poem by maybaby
"

Just an informal poem about youth.

"

Milky clouds laze over rolling hills

Bones intertwine under vanilla twilight

Light from a sky, a colossal neon sign, coats the tips of tall trees and the sides of faces

Flesh to flesh, fingers latch, encompassing words and colours

An exploration of suburban youth

It's grey below

The smoke

The skin

His cold voice escapes, each word gilded with molten grey

Sparks dissipate as the words stumble from his mind to his lips

She doesn't notice

She gazes into the grey stone that lines his eyes and dreams of blue and purple and red
