The Fall

The Fall

A Poem by TheNonConformist

At the moment of impact
My movement had rusted
I became stiff
Unless in every sense

It was the way the light hit
That allowed me to see
Into the abyss created
By my unconscious mind

Unaware of how far I had drifted
The darkness set in
Marinating in my body
I felt hollow

And as the abyss began to close
I was left inside
Falling for all eternity

I like the fact that I could relate to this. I've felt like I've experienced a variation of this poem to a great extent. You've evinced emotions quite well in poem. My favorite part was the ending "And as the abyss began to close
I was left inside
Falling for all eternity" It really stuck to my heart. Well done
