Arachnid NightmareA Poem by Maya LunaInspired by a spider in a ladies' rest room...
THERE ONCE WAS A SPIDER WHO SAT ON THE CHARMIN, THINKIN’ THERE REALLY WASN’T NO HARM IN HAVIN’ A SNOOZE OR TAKIN’ A NAP, TILL HE WAS AWOKE WITH A THUNDEROUS SLAP!
WITH SHAKY LIMBS HE SLID OFF THE ROLL AND CREPT BACK INTO HIS LITTLE HOLE HURTING AND SADDENED AND TAKEN ABACK AT WHAT HE HAD DONE TO MERIT THAT SMACK!
AND TO MEDITATE ON WHAT HEARTLESS FOOL, COULD TO SO NICE A SOUL BE SO TERRIBLY CRUEL. (c) 2009 © 2016 Maya Luna |
