Chapter 9 "Ami and Josh"

   CHAPTER 9


  We ended up waiting for a while, because Kevin was debating about taking us anywhere, but we finally left after about ten, fifteen minutes. All I remember was being in searing pain, and hardly being able to move, and when we got there I remember everyone making a big commotion and then I blacked out. I woke up to the sun light shining in on my bed. Josh was sleeping by my bed side, and Angie by the window holding Eric in her lap. I looked back at Josh, he looked to peaceful sleeping I just wanted to keep looking at--. Oh my god forget I just said that. I looked down at my hands that where a little bruised up but no permanent damage.
“Ami!” Josh said jumping up hugging me “your up!”
“ow” I complained,
“oh I’m sorry, I’m just happy your finally awake”
“finally? How long was I out?”
“about three days”
“three days!” I said jumping up, I winced because my ribs hurt,
“don’t move to fast your going to be a little soar” Josh said grabbing my shoulders pushing me back into the bed, I looked up and our eyes met,
“Ami!” Eric and Angie yelled out I looked over at them as they ran up hugging me. Josh and I exchanged a glanced and I looked away trying to forget about what just happened.
“so where’s Kevin and everyone?” I asked Josh 
“most likely on their way here” Josh answered seconds before Kevin walked in.
“ah so your awake” Kevin said closing the door behind him,
“yeah no thanks to you”  I said gesturing for Angie and Eric to back up.
“I brought you here didn’t I!? Ok I didn’t come here to argue, get your stuff we’re leaving” he said walking out pushing in my backpack, Josh went and grabbed it, walked back to my bed, and told Angie and Eric to see if anyone would let them go to the cafeteria. I threw the covers off of me and swung my legs over the edge of the bed, took a deep breath in, stood up and slowly released my breath. I took one step forward and almost collapsed but Josh caught me.
“I’m fine” I said with my head down hoping not to have another moment like before,
“no your not, let me help you” Josh whispered into my ear, I couldn’t help it but I had to look up, and once again our eyes met, but this time he kissed me. I pushed him away and looked at him astonished, then I looked away, looked at everything but him, grabbed my clothes, and walked to the bathroom.
