pondersome muttonheadsA Poem by maximilianPondersome muttonheads Teeth stained all citrine Perched on the corner of queer and avenue Silly smoke sticks aloft, screeching out With powerful lust for dominion Their brazen clouds of ash All twisted up in the frigid eve Amongst sleet fall and the torrid spit Smog forever hung over each iced syllable I asked you if you thought much of anything anymore But your face was all droplets before I could finish. Seeking a less trite way of being contrite in life Without ever falling to the edge of my seat In blissful terror of overwhelming grief Eyes glutted up with thick globules And relinquishing all ties to modesty and paradigm In deepest mirth of the folly in all enterprise If you couldn't laugh, you'd cry. Surely. © 2011 maximilianReviews
