The Fabric of Your Perfect Tense

The Fabric of Your Perfect Tense

A Poem by Maxwell M.
"

belief in self, I suppose I needed to grow.

"

These walls bleed words
That I am slowly finding I just can’t speak
They got lost in the contradictions
Of living in their truth or just embracing their own deceit

But I do know what I can make of these words
And shape them into my own belief
They can be oh so much more
Than just a poor attempt at getting others to lead

These walls didn’t bleed words
I realized by now that they mean so much more to me
They were empowerment
At getting me to leave

We cannot succumb to what all the others want
We just cannot turn our backs and respect what we never had
We cannot succumb to what  all the others want
We just cannot turn our backs and respect what we never had
We cannot succumb to what all the others want
We just cannot turn our backs and respect what we never had..
