Pursue What May Never Come

Pursue What May Never Come

A Poem by Maxwell M.
"

hmm.

"
to scatter down these shimmering isles
avoid and hide from such beady eyes
"we'll find just what we can exract"
and beget our own inevitable demise

they've merely conquered a fraction
"we've hardly earned our keep"
they've gathered and force isolation
"dig deep"

oh they've gone on to become great
but is there peaceful progression?
"hate not what they haven't brought for us,
hate what you never tried to understand"
there is no further cause for celebration
"praise to those who have hope?
pity those who need it"

try and try as you might
too full of longing and remorse, jettison your insight
"give us only your willing"
it's their plight

never before has any one people done so little
they will never try upheave their acquittal
"there is no future"
this will be our end

"dream all you damn want."

"now following the thrashing thought of your dream to exist, pursue domination."**
