I Have Seen The Devil In My Microscope, And I Have Chained Him.

I Have Seen The Devil In My Microscope, And I Have Chained Him.

A Poem by Maxwell M.
"

delicious cabin fever, and a tall glass of sleep deprivation

"

sulken days dancing, drifting, damned to their holes

i forgot those days, but not all the way

i forgot what it was like to hit the floor

tumbled down tiny hills with treacherous tops and hidden spots

i forgot that pain, and most of that day

i forgot what it was like to feel real

darkened space with naught but a face, deep in haze

i forgot that calm, left in a box behind

i forgot what it was like to get lost in my own

but i'll move on through odd days

work towards the calm that can be reached, it pays

to be at rest and not fret

oh someday my friend i'll be free of your debt

and is this all that is left?

just numb, free from anxiety

there won't be anyone here to please

but thats all i can do

and someday it will all make sense

we'll be capable of more than beauty

we'll find our lost perfection

but for now, we'll search for the end that makes us feel real

its not a puzzle to be solved, its a journey of understanding
