Something for the Industrious.

Something for the Industrious.

A Poem by Maxwell M.
"

strive for what you desire.

"

i write this as a beacon for our hopes.

we push forward, we strive!

because if we get that chance to survive our hell.

we'll take it, we strive!

as a sign for those to come our way.

we'll be thrown to the gladiators like the slaves of sound we are.

shattered swords and bent shields we stand alone a-top our mountain of conquered foes.

but still we clutch to fear!

why should you be worried?

it's not you who's baiting your heartfelt sound for the first shark to take a bite.

you can't handle anymore!

stand your ground man, the worst is yet to come.

yet still they say..

"you still fear what you can't fight.

look for us in the pages of your history books.

 you'll eventually find truth.

but only knowing that you'll never make it out alive."

our compassion for hope will lead to our end.

we'll be fed to lions.

we'll feel the horror.

one can only wish to fight another day.

Extremely thoughtful and well planned. You can tell the piece means a lot to you. The message of never giving in and never surrendering is quite powerful. Very cool read.

It's definitely got that lyrical edge to it that hints at you being a musician but my question is why new to the world of writing you got true raw talent. I loved the imagery it was less like a poem and more like a story. Very nicely done and probably one of my newest favorites on the cafe

About
Well it's been a while. I had found that writing on the computer was making my writing feel a bit..strained. So I'll be doing some experimenting with both pen and paper and this wonderful iMac. Let's .. more..
