Poem for Cancer (Stand Up To Cancer)

This is a poem I have written for a competition, I hope this poem helps anyone who has suffered with cancer or knows of anyone who has realise they are stronger than they think

 

You won't be my decider

You won't own my life

You won't take my happily ever after

You have chosen the wrong fight

 

You may hear me scream

You may even hear me cry

But you will never get the best of me

And here's the reason why

 

My life is full of light

And I'm not losing that to you

My courage and my fight

Will surely see me through

 

So heed this warning cancer

Bring whatever you may

Because when this battles over

It'll be you who has to pay
