Fairytale Poem

Fairytale Poem

A Poem by Matthew Webb
"

This is a poem I have written because when I was a child I loved fairytale stories so I thought I would pay homage to them by creating a poem about one of my old favourites, The story of Snow White

"

Creatures travelled to say goodnight

She finally got your star

Under disguise in moonlight

Knights rode in upon horseback

Trying to save your heart from the her grasp

Poison apples scent the air

As seven little men cry out in despair

Those once rose lips now icy blue

The magic mirror warned her she would never be as fair as you

True loves kiss can break the spell

And set your body free from that glass shell

At the end of this fairytale

All is then right

You can take your rightful place as

Queen Snow White

Not bad. You have a very simple concept and your execution is solemn, which works for this, I think. You've used some great imagery here - well done.
