Beautifully Mundane

Beautifully Mundane

A Poem by elephant

Riding my funny

Black bicycle to the corner

To fetch

Some more milk

Some more eggs

In the sky a

Blueish kindof grey and

The north brings me a chill

So it may rain or

It might drizzle

in a couple

Of tocs but still

Thats okay

I'm okay with

Where I am and

Where I stay

On this beautifully

Mundane sunday

Yes, I like this kind of poem. Not trying to "say" too much, and in so doing it says alot.

I like it when people write about things like this.
In this world of distraction and things only a few of us can connect with what is real. The eyes have it.
And for the reader, well, I can tell you the color of the tile on the floor of the corner market.
It is checkered, and badly scuffed near the door.
Well done.
