My God has none

My God has none

A Poem by elephant
"

I was young

"
Religion’s death can be found in the dirt that surrounds the righteous
Religion’s truth can be found in extended bellies of worms
In the fertile dirt surrounding the rotting righteous
Expelled in invisible breaths from tree leaves
My God is not living between the lines of hallow script
Or in some long forgotten crypt
If you are keen on believing this
then you’ll swing from the gallows of ignorance is bliss
Kiss kiss the dirty money
Tongue the poisoned honey
My God doesn’t dwell between cashmere pockets
My god is not the flywheel in a maze of sprockets
My god is I
My God can die
My God can cry
My God is I
So my God has the strength of a child
My god has the potential to be vile
My God can swing higher and freer than anyone
My god answers to only one
My god has none!

Its an ode to atheism.I thought it was pretty straight forward.I've never listened to them and I dont no if i should take that as a compliment or just an observation.I thank you for your review.

I don't really understand this poem but... It reminds me of the way The Devil Wears Prada writes their lyrics.
