IllusionA Poem by elephantJust i dont know
Tonight I caught a falling dissolving flake drop out of the sky
To my surprised eyes this ancient asteroid was being destroyed before my life Quietly my thoughts lingered in the antipodal regions of face Twinkling softly these glossy hopes and dreams painted fuzzy Monets Kind of like twisting color creams set behind breathing things More towards the open mouthed war torn and misguided monastery All that worshiped sat in that silent scare Before a super gracious sun which boringly stared And as their silhouetted Satanist crawled out of the cross-adorned door braces Gestated respondents kept their hollow heads reverently bent But slow utterances spilled upon the swirling atmosphere in one loud howl Like a million muffled gongs the worshipers song rang OUT! Slowly but swiftly the Satanists’ paper-thin lips lurched to form a malicious smirk He continued to hold the heavy silence on a spider’s thread A million years passed before the Robed Redeemer uttered any sermon worth its weight in breath © 2010 elephant |
