strangers talking

strangers talking

A Poem by elephant

A couple of couples sit at a black oblong
Drinking gabbing and quickly dragging
On long sensitives amidst relative strangers
The naked certainty revealed delicately but discovered still
So this gab drags for hours
From today to tomorrow
Youthful sorrow to comic segways
From lightly drawn images of love
To completely abstract shadow dreams
This is conveyed through four more than strange humans
A couple of lovely lesbians
A gloriously genuine gay
And a youth out of place
Commonality lives behind every face
But in some way laced to these three strange delights
A special night wrapped in conversation twine
That will live in a special region of times bamboo mind
