Speed walkingA Poem by elephant
Soft shoes under sky blue and atmosphere soggy
Early Alabama heat convene cranium to feet Its been twenty years but the room remains vacant So my pursuit pushes forward The horizon as my compass So I never loose my way Indigo moods as my breakfast So I never go hungry Loss is my liquor so I never get sober Round about states carrying only my fate Years spill over yet to erase her face that place her wake So my sky observer watch over the plants the ants and all who dance Pay no mind to mine just walking to pass time Since the crime I haven’t been fine My getting on for none my eye cries for one sad shoeing to the sun © 2009 elephant |
