where the smiles growA Poem by mattlundinJust some thoughts
where the smiles grow
I want to live in the place where the smiles grow. I want to escape from the abscessed eyes. I want to grow beyond petty lies. I want to find a place where the sun doesn’t pierce the trees, and forever is nothing but a cheap phrase uttered softly between diseased heart ventricles. Cut me open and feed me to myself. Tired, worn out realities burn up like diamond dust too close to the sun. It sparkles in endless waves before incineration melts it into opaque glass. The moments we seek we find in the outer reaches, far away from the trappings of sophisticated monsters hiding behind cheap suits and gagging cologne. © 2015 mattlundin |
