Lost Life

When it fades......

Supreme silence,

deathly and frozen,

thy blood,

arctic as my tears,

still in thy vessels,

still in my eyes.

A decade ago,

four was I,

when the nemesis of peace,

defiled this land.

About to impale my heart,

was the edge of an invader,

whose eyes chatoyant,

with a twisted face of malignancy,

thirsty to carve death,

into my body.

In their embrace,

preserved was my life,

but theirs,

gone and would never return.

When the last fires went quiet,

we thought this wounded land,

became immune;

but no,

the damned plague paid its visit,

once more,

with a sly smile.

That grenade,

as if a bizarre green eye,

to scorn us fragile creatures,

burst into laughter.

Immense heat,

then terrible coldness,

filled thy body.

Why,

Ares,

thou cruel God,

took everyone that loved me,

then everyone I loved.

What unforgivable sins,

have I committed against Thy Holy?

Sorry.

My final spark of hope,

had as well died out.

If I were to live,

in a desolate inferno;

then I would better die,

to a warm underworld.

Papa,

Mama,

My adorable brother.

I will be with you soon.

Just wait for a little while.

Just wait,

until the final piece of ruby,

falls onto this cold grave.
