Futago

Futago

A Poem by Kami Grace
"

You and I.

"
Every step you take,
as if an image of mine;
every word I say,
as if a mimic of yours.

Identical we are,
in our azure eyes,
in our golden hair,
in our pale skin;
only segregated,
by an ethereal gift,
that descended on you,
but not me.

You with voice of angel,
let the notes soar,
an aura of heavenly peace,
filling every heart with amity;
no one that has heard you,
is unmoved.

Soprano and alto,
you and I;
When you hymn,
that mesmerizing melody,
I am there,
to support with harmony.

That smile of satisfaction,
when words of praise flow,
how badly I wish to put it on,
even once.

If you are the bridge,
that connect heaven and earth;
then I shall be the pillar,
that keep you strong and unyielding.

Envious?
Exhausted?
Nah.

That's what an elder brother should do.

I have no brother but if I had, that's the way I would have wanted him to be. A soothing write Kami :)
