Guardian AngelA Poem by Kami GracePlease stay unwinged.A chamber, seemed infinite yet concealed, tens of thousands of children, innocent and naive, think they are free and fine, eagles that soar and dive; but are nothing more than a guinea pig, with a number on the forehead, subjects of the pernicious plot, cursed, or will be cursed. "Those with wings, are damned with sins, in eternal sleeps they dwell, no forgiveness." So they teach, and so they learn. Who would have thought, that the potion is brewing, claimed as elixir of knowledge, unlocking the gates of a bright future, yet untrue; true is the poison, that feeds on their conscience, roots their minds into numbers, until nothing left except, walking flesh, and a pair of dark wings. ********************************************************* And I saw the child, eyes glimmering with joy, fragrance of a newborn, unpolluted by the fallen. He was fed by a spoon, made of gold and embedded with diamond, a pale pink liquid, spreading the scent of nectar, alluring and attractive. His eyes started to lose focus. His smile dimmed. His ears stopped twitching. His cheeks turned pale. ********************************************************* Don't! Please! Don't fall like I did! They saw my presence, spat their insults as I, broke their fatal cup. His essence of life, restored. Their face twisted; with chains and syringes, with spoons and jars; with rage and desperation, with inhumanity and immorality; they charged towards the child. ********************************************************* I spread my wings.
