Frozen Mind

Frozen Mind

A Poem by Kami Grace
"

Blank.

"
"Who cares?
The world is destined to be like this.
If you can live by taking lives,
..............."  -- Words of the ones I trusted.

************************************************

"Thou shalt not kill."

With no doubts,
did I believe that,
the ones who spoke these words,
were pillars of light,
embodiment of holiness,
the only pure stream,
in this chaotic inferno.

While men were chained,
by dripping silks of corruption,
by flaming curses of damnation;
unscathed they stood,
soothing us with the doctrine,
hammered into our minds,
firmly and never-changing.

************************************************

Scarlet marbles slid off,
their malevolent edges,
the once living with the terrifying,
face of agony,
mouth half-opened,
seemingly a voice unheard,
the miserable soul's final cry,
or simply a saddening scream.

Admiration, shock, speechlessness, fear, rage, hatred.

So do I wake up,
that I was learning,
not from the good,
but from the ultimate bodies of fall,
from ones who went against their words,
from ones who deceived the goats of naivety.
Childish I am,
faith and hope,
synonyms of lies and nonsense,
education,
tool to erase and cleanse,
not sins,
but the final bits of innocence.

************************************************

But none exists now.
Their haunting gaze,
now remained only hollowness.
For they have built altars and fires,
sacrificing my fallen comrades,
not realizing karma had been hiding,
unto their final beat in their darkened core;
and I unto myself,
uncloaked that karma.

************************************************

Who cares?
The world is destined to be like this.
If you can live by taking lives,
just
do
so.

Kami: You just blew me away: This poem is unreal. What a deep spiritual, emotional writing. The title is befitting. I will seriously read this again. The world is full of sin, people without humanity, "Thou shalt not Kill", and then all of these magnificent lines - it's amazing.

Kami: I am going to let this sink in and read again; one thing I know for certain is it is phenomenal. Just fabulous writing and I thank you so much. Dale
