PandoraA Poem by Kami GraceLove is soothingly dangerous.
Oh, the all-gifted,
why did you open, that jar of darkness? For you had brought curse, upon the weak humans. Diseases, plagues, overcome as men wised; gluttony, wrath, controlled as manner evolved. Yet you let out one single poison, the deadliest, among all deadliness. It can raise a person, to the summit of Olympus; or drag a person, to the depths of Tartarus. Poor mankind, in the mist, took the venom, as nectar of life. Slowly, slowly, devoured by the corruption. This double-edged sword, has transformed few, into souls of happiness; but more, into vengeful ghosts, filled with perniciousness. You should have closed it earlier, keep it intact inside the jar, with the evilness called "hope". Could you see how many of us, blinded, deafened in misery, drowned in our own tears, because you released it? Because you released love?
