My root of poetry

To celebrate the 140th anniversary of my school!

The land of nil,

was turned into a palace of wisdom.

Once, they were chained by mistakes,

but in here they found freedom.

Rage, revenge, retribution,

erased;

Sadness, sorrow, solemnity,

alleviated.

Children before,

bloomed into flowers of beauty,

learnt into spokesmen of truth,

trained into warriors of bravery.

The world is always changing,

yet one thing is everlasting --

the reason of its establishment,

"For the last, the least, and the lost."

Oh, I simply love it. From the beginning it is wonderful, such sweet sentiment and honor in this poem given to celebrate anniversary. I began to think, where would people be without a place to go an learn and as you so nicely said, at one time there was not.
