Shine

Shine

A Poem by Kami Grace
"

Thank you for leading me.

"
The dazzling star stands out in the darkness,
dims out those who are shimmering.
It stays there, silently, yet proudly,
not an inch is it moving.

Lost in this world,
with a ringing and chaotic mind.
The dark surges of troubles rush in,
for not a single place for hiding you can find.

Except one.

The place where love is offered.
The place where serenity is held.
The place where solace is found.

Thank you for being there,
gleaming without flickering,
acting like a road sign,
always pointing me home.

Polaris.

For you bring me to the house,
the only house,
where comfort and warmth I find.

Sorry for being 5 days late Kami, but I'll try my best.

This one's a little bit subtle, but the message is clear. A thank you letter for someone who has helped the protagonist tremendously. Nice, I like the flow of words, and emotion is strong. Great job on this one, keep up the awesome work.

I liked the imagery in this one.
My favourite part would be,

Lost in this world,
with a ringing and chaotic mind.
The dark surges of troubles rush in,
for not a single place for
hiding you can find.

Well written.

Very cool and unique style of poem! I throughly enjoyed the building up to the actual thing you were describing, polaris. In the second line, the word weakly kinda felt odd to me, but it could just be me :)
