Gratitude

The words that you said,

had weaved into a symphony,

ever so soothing and mesmerizing,

overwhelming every part of my sensations.

The breaths that you took,

had brought essence to life,

ever so gently and comfortably,

making every drop of my blood race.

Without you,

my world would only be in black and white.

Without you,

my senses would only be left dull and vague.

Without you,

my blood would only be rendered freezing and frozen.

Thank you for always being there,

for in you,

and you only,

I found solace.

The dear Lord my God.
