DespairA Poem by Kami Grace
I looked into the dark pit,
from there I heard a weak moan. I let out a giggle, for I thought the weak deserved to suffer alone. I went back to my friends, but today their smiles were strange. It seemed like they were hiding something from me, perhaps it was the omen that something was going to change. And the worst happened. Their love turned into hatred. The ones I trusted had pointed their blades to me. They laughed and shouted in gaiety, pushing me mercilessly to my deepest misery. I was sitting down there helplessly, shouting tiredly for an answer. From the dazzling light I saw a shadow, but all that figure gave me was a cold laughter.
